Bob Schimek, VP of Software Engineering at BCC Software, closed out the day at the Great Lakes Area Focus Group meeting with an update on the Optional Flats Sequencing Strategy (FSS) Preparation. He noted that for Periodical Mailers, FSS may mean fewer bundles, which will result in fewer bundle charges and lower postage. For more information on the optional preparation, see the USPS Postal Explorer.
I hope that these recaps of the events at the Great Lakes Area Focus Group meeting have helped you gain more knowledge of current affairs in the mailing industry. Stay tuned for recaps of other events we attend throughout the year.
